| Patrick Booth is a freelance wildlife/nature Photographer who resides in northwest Montana. His dedication to capturing great images began about 10 years ago as just a hobby or as Patrick puts it-"I was already messing around with film cameras as I was the photographer for the Studio music project Nathan Creek ( www.nathancreek.org ) but I also did a online comic strip back in the 90,s so the format wasn't new to me".
Patrick Booth began shooting photos around Oklahoma in 2003-"Oklahoma had been my home for 14 years -with Tornado season from March through July and all of the great storms that would come into the city,I was always out taking photos really more from a learning aspect rather from a photo to sell". April 19th 1995 was a very tough year for us Oklahomans as we lost 168 wonderful people-friends,family,mothers,fathers,brothers and sisters and the pride of the city were the children.
Some time has passed since that horrible day in Oklahoma history but I am proud of the people and the culture that continues to bring hope and the promise to be proud of who we are. Oklahomans are awesome people and Oklahoma is a great place-I am honored to have called it my home.
"2003 started my real interest into professional Photgraphy as I found myself visiting hot air Balloon festivals,State Fairs,National parks and everything in-between".
Oklahoma city brought out many aspects of what I wanted to cover as a photographer that I found myself carrying my camera gear everywhere I went. After spending 14 years in Oklahoma city and getting more involved in professional photography and shooting awesome locations like Lake hefner in OKC and Chickasaw festival of the lights just to name a few great places-Patrick relocated to Northwestern Montana with his Wife and two Kids.
"Northwest Montana has everything a guy like me could want-fishing,hiking,hockey,moose,deer,grizzly and did I mention hockey?Snow, snow and lots of snow!!! I have been all over this part of the State and everyday brings more challenges as I dig deep into the photographers hand book with eyes focused on the journey".
Patrick Booth incorporates film photography with the latest Digital technology. "I have always been a Canon user-always. Canon has the best cameras and lenses. Their products have never failed me and I use Canon digital & film Slrs and have aquired some great Nikon gear as well and between the two I manage to capture some great stuff. Tip for folks wanting to break into the business? be serious about what you want to do and work hard for the best gear and the best shots-not the shots that everyone gets but look beyond the shot and the angle. Patience is the key-90 % of my shots come from research and spending a lot of long days and nites waiting. Nature has a schedule-it is not on our schedule but you have to be on it's if you want to get a great shot. .
The photos we strive to get are those that require a little research, patience and some hiking experience-Our adventures will wear you out. We have taken shots that challenged us as a photographer but also made us think what is the safest way to capture this photo? enjoy the photos and hope to do business with you.
This site just doesn't cover Oklahoma through my eyes but captures Places that my eyes have seen and the many journeys that I have traveled to bring the best of my world to those who cannot see what I have seen.
We have several categories that our pictures fall into-wildlife/nature and scenic as well as a few shots that you may have not seen before-
